Shane Introduction & Portfolio

  • Who you are and where you’re from

Shane Villafana

Los Angeles

  • How art fits into your current life and your life goals

Don’t have much time in college but I need to be creative frequently or I’ll die. Hope to one day have an art studio where I can paint, sculpt, etc.

  • Your experience with digital and traditional art making, in courses or otherwise

I have never made art digitally (maybe ms paint). I mostly make art with my hands ( i.e. woodworking, drawing, ceramics, painting).

  • Other creative arts you like to practice (writing, dance, crafts, music, theater, fashion, creative code, etc) and other forms of making/inventing you enjoy

I enjoy all art. I have recently started making music.

Hi Shane, I’ll give you the impressive badge because I have never worked with ceramics or sculpting. The bust is really cool. What software are you using to make music?

The sculpture is very detailed, with the hair textures, the lines on the face, and more. It’s very clear you put a lot of effort into the piece.

Hi Shane! I’m gonna give you the thought-provoking badge! Something about human faces always makes me wonder,, there is nothing more interesting than the story behind them, so I am interested in the story behind this persons’ face and in YOUR story behind making them as well.

  17. Iris says:

Detailed from me as well! Your bust is very well done and so realistic I can tell you put in hours to make it look just right and it payed off! I made a clay bust just like this is school and it so long. I remember there are a lot of behind-the-scenes steps to make it look that real and I am so impressed, very detailed!
