For my altered toy, I decided to alter a bouncy ball. I chose a bouncy ball because I have a lot of vivid memories playing with them as a child and I even was nearly blinded by one once (whoops)…

I think its pretty interesting how it turned out. when I showed it to my sister, she told me it kind of reminded her of a sea urchin, which I had not intended but I find pretty cool. Its interesting to note how different people can view the same pieces of art in different ways.

I chose to spike the ball all the way around, even though a half spiked ball would have been more visually contrasting because I wanted the ball the be altered all the way around and in a drastic way. I think it would have pleased me less if I had chosen to print the half spiked ball because it would still be able to roll partially. idk. here it is!
