Imogen Barnes: Introduction and Portfolio

on

Hi! My name is Imogen Barnes and I am originally from Bristol, England. I moved to Michigan when I was young, then moved to Connecticut in 6th grade, and now I’m here in Worcester!

I have always enjoyed making art since a young age, and I am currently working on my pen and ink techniques. Recently I’ve become interested in making these ‘shadow boxes,’ where I layer my drawings in a box to create depth (I will attach some examples of my work in my portfolio).

Other than drawing/painting, I love to make music! I am a guitarist and played some shows when I was in high school. I am currently in the jazz band here at WPI and I hope to join/create a gigging rock band sometime while I’m here.

I’m really looking forward to creating art with all of you this term!

Its clear that you’ve put a lot of detail into these works. Everything is well defined and the black and white images in particular have a lot of depth and attention to small details.
