<\/p>\nThis is the famous picture of Bobby Orr scoring the Stanley Cup winning goal in 1970 for the Boston Bruins and is quintessential to Boston sports history. In a lot of photos taken of famous sports events, the focal point is the player who made ‘the big play.’ I find it interesting to look at the outside points of the picture as you can see a lot of different emotions in the opposing team, the crowd, etc. The biggest challenge in my subtraction was having to essentially guess at what the defenseman’s (in white) pants looked like on his back leg. I decided to use a darker shade of his foreground leg as this would generate a more realistic, 3D look.<\/p>\n
