Animal Pattern

Plant Pattern
Hello all,
I did two patterns. Ill get right into it.
The first pattern I did was based off the synthetic theme, and I imagined pea pods, but in a more robust and geometrical way. The colors are black and white because they now look mechanical and some day we may just be eating gray synthesized peas. I hope not.

For my second pattern I did the animals theme. My favorite animal is by far the Aardvark, which I drew myself. Because it’s a drawing, it does not look life-like, but I found that this “cartoon”-ish look was able to be transcribed into a reoccurring fashion quite well. Plus, a good Aardvark smile is always nice to see! It also brings me back to my childhood for some strange reason…

Synthetic Pattern:
My first pattern is a multi-layered picture of shaq banana. The cool part of this is that in the more distant layers, shaq banana becomes more of a shadow. Also, I messed with the opacity and the color randomness of the layers which makes it so that different part of layers pop out more than other parts of layers.

Vegetable Pattern:
This is a pattern of cabbage. I first inverted the picture by having the four corners in the middle. Then I took 1-inch interval circles starting from the outside and rotated them 90 degrees clockwise until I got a 1 in diameter circle in the middle.

Animal Pattern:

Above is a 12in x 12in square containing 9 4in x4in patterns. Together, they make a 9×9 puzzle with only 1 correct solutions and hundreds of close but not perfect layouts. I took these photos at each of the car companies museums in Italy. They are some of the rarest cars ever made with price tags almost too high to fathom, which make them especially memorable for me.
