An animal and synthetic pattern.

For my subtractive piece I chose to see what the effect of removing something critical from a picture would do. I removed the cone from a photo of ice cream to see how it would change the picture and the ways people view it. In my opinion the image becomes a bit more interesting because of the strangeness but loses some of its flow. Some of the blending looks a bit weird, especially up against the persons legs.

Hi everybody, my name is Jordan Gold and I am currently a freshman cs major here at WPI. I’ve lived in Massachusetts my whole life and was excited to go to WPI for school. I have liked art throughout my life but have mostly just done it in classes at school. I took some computer science classes in high school and decided to go for it in college. Right now my artist activities are mostly limited to projects in cad.

This was an art piece I made for a previous class here at wpi which focused and 3d and spatial design with physical materials.

For my icon I made a controller as video games are a central part of my life and I feel as though I often get inspiration from them.
