Part 3: Coloring

Part 2: Modeling
While uncolored, this is the model based on my “termite predator” insect.

Character Design – 1
This character was supposed to be a sort of predator for the termites. As a result, they look a tad organic.

Mystery Object- Part 2

sterious Objects

Never mind the spoon on the floor,
The leak in the wall,
The lack of a door,
I need to find something to plug the holes-
the mites might come back for more!

Self Portrait Collage
I decided to make a self portrait more about what I am and what I do, rather than about me myself. I decided to mix a couple of metaphors here and there.
For example: here, I’m literally living out of a box of Pop-tarts, indicating both my love for the sugary snack and what choices I make in my spending on breakfast. The desk’s a mess, the area in the box is worse. Scattered about are what I’m currently putting a lot of focus onto – homework, planners, etc., but it’s just out of reach of the arm trying to claw itself out of the warmness of the box. Also in the picture are my favorite things, my markers and sketchbook, that are kept close because I want to get back into working with my art.
I also wanted to put myself under hard light, with that sort of fear and focus that I need in order to get through my classes. I’m under that blanket because I probably tired myself out.

Vector Portrait
The subject of the piece was of a personal handbag of mine, one of which was extremely special to me.

The original, for comparison:

Admittedly, there’s a lot I could have done with this one. I recall wanting to focus on the bag patterns, but felt like the shape of the bag itself was interesting to portray.
