Hey,
Get ready for a bunch of pictures…
First we have the complete scene based on my concept sketch:

Within the scene we have six different types of objects. Each is accompanied by a marker (which counts as one of the six objects).
First we have the “Chuck E. Cheese” coin left by the murderer as a calling card:

Next we have the murder weapon, a laser toy gun:

After that we have the corpse himself, Mickey Mouse:

(Note, he has no hands. After 8 hours of fighting with Maya I made the executive decision that Mr. Cheese cut his hands off and ran away with them).
In the room, we have an example of beautiful American craftsmanship:

Finally, we have the murderer’s carelessly left footprints:

Hope you enjoyed!

Excellent job on making this scene tell a story. I can clearly figure out that Chuck E. Cheese killed Mickey Mouse. The only things that I’d recommend is lightening up the scene and either including some blood on the gun or making a dent in it (you did mention he was beat by the gun as opposed to being shot, right?)
Excellent job making this scene, including the story it tells. Going forward, I would add maybe a knife to show that Chuck E Cheese cut off Mickey’s hands, and possibly a little more disarray (flip the table over maybe) to show more signs of a struggle.
This is by far the funniest mystery in the class. I love your Mickey mouse model, and I think it adds even more charm that is missing hands. My only gripe is the large coin.
Excellent job modeling Mickey Mouse! I’m not sure if it was on purpose or not, but the “glowing” of the objects helps to focus in on what has happened here, although I do hope you can fix the lighting of the room at some point. I would love to see a finished, lit design of this scene.
I think you’ve set up a really hilarious scenario that’s communicated very well through the set up and the object you’ve chosen to model (all of which a great with an obvious amount of work put it). Overall really good. I maybe wouldv’e liked micky to be scaled up in size a bit or alternatively the scene space shrunken down, but still really great overall.
