With a more simple scene, it might look better if you use less area. It would get your concept across without looking too empty.
I like the zen garden look of this scene. I also like how you used subtraction to make the body hole.
I like the simplicity of the scene, but as said above, I would make it a little smaller or make the objects bigger to minimize “white space.”
I like how you have created the raking lines in the zen garden. I think that the sand would typically be pretty white in a zen garden, but maybe adding a little color could have helped the sand.
