I like the concept you were going for, but some contrast between your walls and your floor might help. They’re kinda monochromatic and take away from the depth that you could have here.
I like the color pallate that you chose, the colors are very earthy, which really goes with your concept of termites eating material.
The story that you have thought up is very creative and intriguing. I like how you created the rock in the background. The jagged edges and sharp corners make for an interesting shape.
I think you should contrast with some more colors in your scene. It draw more attention to the scene and help the viewer understand what is going on.
