Mystery Scene Part 2

Here is my mystery scene. My goal was to make a really interesting dungeon centered around snakes, leaving the mystery in the metallic boots and sickle on the ritual circle, as well as what could lie in the book and if there’s anything in the frame on the back wall.

The overall scene is below. (apologies for wall texture, still playing around with getting it right)

A zoom on the metallic boots and book.

And a final zoom on the circle, wand, and sickle.

  1. You did a really job texturing everything. I especially like the wood texture on the table and the fabric(?)-like texture on the book. The metallic boots are also weirdly detailed when you look at them up close but look normal from far away.

  2. I like how you tried the texturing and am willing to try new things out. This reminds me of like Indiana Jones if he went into an old western with Paul Bettany from The Da Vinci Code. As we move forward, I would play around with lighting because I think you can capture a lot of emotion within the scene.

  3. I really like your boots. The amount of detail in such a small item is fantastic. They absolutely look like they belong there. I also like your texturing, however I find the floor just a bit distracting. Overall cool room.

  4. Like other people have said, I like the level of detail you put into the boots and the ritual circle. In addition to fiddling with the wall textures, I would suggest maybe making a base of some sort for the spiral pillars you made. It’s a little distracting to see them phase into the floor halfway through a revolution.

  5. I like this scene because it has a pretty cool vibe to it. The models are good too, especially the boots. The one thing that I think could be improved is the pole in the middle. I feel like it doesn’t quite fit into the scene. Maybe changing the texture on it would help it too look better

  6. All of the objects in this scene are masterfully textured. I especially like the twisting columns with the red and white texture on them. The textures of the wall also give off a dungeon-like feel. The markings on the floor also give off an ominous mood to the viewer.
