Mystery Comic Final Project

Combined my robot with the project since he’s a poseable model, and it would provide a little backstory… A crazy alchemist who’s performed the forbidden practice of human transmutation before! The detective teams up with his now robot-bonded partner to investigate the home of their suspect.

I would have liked to use the Arnold renderer but the lights gave me too much trouble. I also had some problems with even the Maya software, so the sunset lighting isn’t quite what I had imagined, but I think I got close.

Final Comic

Hello everyone,

Here’s my final comic! Unfortunately, the scene didn’t really call for any works from my past work so I was unable to incorporate it here. I suppose if you call the font creative then it’s from the past. Ultimately, I’m very happy with how the comic came out in relation to the story. The detective ends up being transmuted into a snake to the feed the ever growing hunger of our ancient Knight-Shaman, Anguis. I went for a very traditional superhero/supervillain comic feel with the retro text and text bubbles. It may be a little small in the thumbnail, as the actual file that was finished was 3000×3000 to really preserve all the details. (I can provide this if necessary)

Final Project!

Hello for the last time…

Here is my final project. I made a comic with a few pages. I nearly started from scratch with my Maya scene, and it seemed to fix my problem with texturing. I’m happy with how it turned out. It was nice returning to Photoshop, and as you can see I had some fun making the panels.

I included nearly every previous project in the scene in some way. Most are photographs on the walls, except the “painting” on the easel. I put my reference photo for my vector trace as the outside scenery (a little ways back from the window frame so as the camera angle moved so did the perspective), and my actual vector trace as artwork on the easel. Did you know Mickey paints? Now you do.

I also had a picture of my now corrupted Chuck E. Cheese character model from a previous post, so I included it in the comic as well.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy!

Final Project

Here is a really low quality version of my final project. Below is a link to the full version on my Google Drive!

For some reason, only when I save my renders as images, my dog becomes completely black, so that’s cool.
