I decided to do a vector tracing of my favorite dessert to have while in Singapore.

Vector
I chose to use an image of my favorite basketball player, Michael Jordan, dunking a basketball at a park in Chicago. I thought that creating a vector image of this photograph would be interesting because a silhouette of him from this image eventually became the Jordan brand logo for his company.

Vector Tracing Portrait – The Moment Before Death

I chose to vector trace this bear, because it’s a cool bear and it’s very angry

Fur is probably more problematic than skin, but I had more fun tracing this amazing beast.

Vector Tracing Portrait – Kyria Nelson
This is my lovely cat Whiskers – I was very inspired by the WPAP Portrait examples given, and tried to recreate some of the effects with a non-human subject. This is the result:
The most difficult part for me (by far) was getting the blocks of colors to look nice and compliment each other. I know absolutely nothing of color theory so I ended up sampling a bunch of colors from a couple WPAP portraits I liked and using those in my own work of art.
This is the source photo. I know her claws are extended, but she is actually attempting to grab my sister’s hand (she is the one taking the photo for me) in order to coerce additional petting. Her right eye is cloudy because she is blind in that eye.

To celebrate the recent Patriots’ AFC championship victory, I decided to perform my vector tracing on Tom Brady. This is a photo taken from the game. When choosing a photo, I felt that Brady’s real thoughts are captured in this image during the game.
This is the original image. I chose not to include some small details because when I did, the small image size created a messy look that I was not happy with.

Vector Trace Skull Rock
I decided to use a picture of skull rock, which is located by the pond in Maine my family has been going to for generations. The rock itself is part of a family tradition. The woman in the picture is my great aunt.
