An SD Unicorn Knight Gundam I painted (in a sort of semi-destroy mode if anyone cares).
Went a little overboard, ended up with about 600 shapes. Fun project.

The amount of detail in this is freakishly incredible. This came out unbelievable and I feel like it deserves to be framed or something. The color choices worked really well and make parts almost look shiny (especially the helmet). The bright “in your face” background really makes it look heroic. I guess the only critique I have is maybe change the shadows to be towards the front if the light in the background looks like its coming from behind/right closer to the front/left of the canvas. Otherwise, amazing work!
I like the background you created for this piece. It adds a lot of contrast. I can tell a lot of effort went into this piece.
The background on this piece is really interesting because the colors all angle to the object. Your color scheme allows the character to stand out and appear as if it is popping off the page. The dark colors complement eachother and compliment the white figure well.
The first thing I notice when looking at this piece is that the background adds a sense of direction and purpose to the whole picture. It isn’t just a toy looking off to the side, it looks like it came straight out of some saturday-morning cartoon where a hero is about to do battle and poses in some heroic stance. I think you did a fantastic job with the details of the robot and the “plain” background works really well with the sophisticated foreground
