For my subtractive post, I took a picture of a family watching TV and took out the TV to show how empty a typical living room would look without a TV to tie everyone together. I did this because of how I used to spend time with my family watching TV and did this to show that our bonding in their would be nothing without all of us enjoying the entertainment of it together.
I really like the concept you we’re going for here, but I think you could take it a step further and remove the arm with the remote in hand to make it a little less obvious that the screen was removed.
