{"id":849,"date":"2012-12-05T18:27:44","date_gmt":"2012-12-05T18:27:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.joshuarosenstock.com\/teaching\/IMGD3x00_B12\/?p=849"},"modified":"2012-12-05T18:27:44","modified_gmt":"2012-12-05T18:27:44","slug":"final-project-concept-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.joshuarosenstock.com\/teaching\/IMGD3x00_B12\/2012\/12\/05\/final-project-concept-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Final Project Concept"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For my final project, I&#8217;m taking inspiration from the Synthesizer Glove on the Brainstorming post.<\/p>\n<p>I hope to have four sensors on the glove: A gyroscopic sensor, a light sensor, a touch sensor (button), and a rotation sensor.<\/p>\n<p>The main part of the project will be to create a simple synthesizer patch that will take input from the light and gyroscopic sensors to make a sound.<br \/>\nPressing the button will play the sound.<br \/>\nMy current idea is to have the vertical axis be the frequency (pitch) and the light sensor be amplitude (loudness).<\/p>\n<p>The fun part will come after this. I want to use the rotation sensor to switch modes between using the synthesizer and special effects.<br \/>\nWhen the rotation sensor is turned past a point, fulfilling certain conditions with the light and gyroscopic sensors and pressing the button will play sound effects.
